Here are some of the practices and systems we have put in place to ensure our positive impact on the environment and minimize our carbon footprint:

  • Energy
  • Water
  • Recycle

Minimizing energy consumption and wastage by installation of:

  • Skylights and Solar Panels

  • Solar Powered Streetlights

  • VRV Inverter airconditioning units

  • Water-cooled ventilation system for production floors

  • Inverter type air compressors for machinery

Minimizing water consumption by:

  • Harvesting rainwater to be used for watering grass and plants

  • Installing push-start and sensor taps in washrooms and cafeterias

  • Treating all wastewater from washing plant for use in toilets plus watering grass and plants

Minimizing waste by:

  • Composting

  • Recycling

  • Use of biomass-fired boilers which run on bricks made from agricultural waste, organic material and even fabric waste from the production floor

Our Community

Our efforts to ensure a brighter future for people around us will always be an integral part of our business. Here are some images of recent activities we have conducted to engage with the local communities.

Green Garden Project - 5,100 Trees Donation To Division 315

The ‘Green Garden’ project initiated by Fashion Garments Limited (Hirdaramani Vietnam) was launched in 2020 in the Quang Nam province to prevent coastal erosion by planting mangroves. An initiative under the pillar ‘Conserve the Environment’ in Hirdaramani’s Future First Sustainability Roadmap 2025, the project has distributed nearly 10,000 saplings by end 2023 and has even extended its efforts to educate school children on coastal erosion and mangroves.

Our team in Vietnam recently donated 5,100 nipa palm saplings to Division 315 in Chu Lai, Nui Thanh, Quang Nam to be strategically planted across its campus, to create a resilient barrier to safeguard the coast and prevent future erosion.

We’re happy to continue our efforts in doing the right thing for our planet, our people, and our communities through a focused Sustainability agenda.

Celebrating Another Milestone In Our Sustainability Journey!

Fashion Garments Limited has secured its 3rd LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification for its Mekong plant, making it the 4th LEED Platinum certification for the company in total.

With an impressive score of 80 out of 110 possible points, it is the highest Platinum ranking in the system. This remarkable achievement is in line with our commitment to ‘Trust in Good Choices’ – the 4th pillar in Hirdaramani’s Future First Sustainability Roadmap 2025.

Recognised as the world’s most widely used green building rating system, the LEED certification provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings.

Stay tuned to our journey to create a sustainable future!

“Lan Tỏa Yêu Thương” For “Tiny Soldiers” At Dong Nai Children's Hospital

We celebrated the success of our “Lan Toa Yeu Thuong” program for 313 “tiny soldiers” at Dong Nai Children’s Hospital. The event was filled with a heartwarming ambience, and thanks to the wholehearted support from all FGL members, we brought waves of happiness to these resilient “soldiers.” The genuine innocence shining in their eyes and the delightful laughter they shared have become our treasured rewards throughout this meaningful journey.

Better Water - Better Life Project

Understanding the importance of clean water and warding off potential diseases from contaminated water, FGL recently invested and handed over a water system to Phu Thanh primary school, Phu Thanh commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province.

This system was sponsored 100% by the Hirdaramani Group. It has a daily serving capacity of 1,000 liters of water for more than 1,000 students and teachers while meeting QCVN 6-1:2010/BYT requirements for quality. The system uses solar energy to boost environmental protection effectiveness.

Build A Bridge - Fill The Dream - Hill Up Future

Continuing on the journey of supporting communities, the 2nd bridge – Cau Kenh 800 was officially launched on 1st Jan 2023. Cau Kenh 800 delivers warmth and wishes from FGL to more than 105 households at Ca Dam Hamlet, Tam Nong District, Dong Thap Province.

A warmer winter for 700 children at Ha Giang

In collaboration with Good Neighbors Canada and Good Neighbors Vietnam, “A Warmer Winter” journey recently made our first stop at Quang Binh district, Ha Giang province – Ban Ria and Bang Lang communes – with warm clothes for 660 children from kindergarten to junior high school.

Located in the canyons that are far from the center, the living condition here are still deficient with many challenges in transportation and low-growth economic opportunities. Many children still endure the winter in flimsy clothing as they barely afford to occupy warm clothes. TOGETHER WE SHARE, TOGETHER WE CARE.

FGL joined hand in kindergarten toilet renovation – Dong Thap province

Sanitary facility is an ideal environment for spreading bacteria through the water. Hazardous substances such as biochemical oxygen demand, dissolved solids, metals dissolved in water,… can cause chronic poisoning, cancer, and genetic modification in 5% of wastewater. Respiratory diseases such as allergic rhinitis and sinusitis are very popular, particularly in children aged 3 to 5. Keeping the toilets safe and clean is protecting our children from disease.

On October 2022, FGL joined hands in renovating the toilets at Binh Thanh Kindergarten, Dong Thap province – focusing on re-construct the facility and improving the wastewater system as we totally understand how toilet quality affects our health. We believe that this contribution will create a safer and more convenient place for the over 400 children in here.

Blood Donation Day 2022

Recently, Blood Donation Day was held at FGL Head Office. In just 04 hours, the program received over 33,250 ml of blood, transporting the hearts of nearly 100 FGL employees to critical situations.

We are proud to have taken part in such a worthy cause, and we believe this act of kindness and generosity will continue to spread love and a spirit of solidarity across FGL.

The first 2,000 nipa palm trees made by FGL were planted along the most beautiful coastline of Vietnam

Since August 2021, FGL has been working on a Greenhouse in which nipa palm trees are grown as part of the project “Protect Quang Nam Coastline” by the government. On May 30, 2022 our first 2,000 nipa palm trees were given to Duy Vinh commune, Duy Xuyen district, and continue to be planted locally to prevent waves and winds and limit coastal erosion.

With the commitment to only practicing stringent and environmentally-friendly activities, we have constantly been carrying out several initiatives and projects across the communities in which we are located. Planning to continue deploying and providing 10,000 trees to the coastline.

FGL on the road of supporting vietnam education

As part of the “Future First” journey, one of Fashion Garments’ primary priorities for the year 2020-2025 is to support the community, especially where our business has been constantly developed. In which, the activities that assist the education and the children play an important part in this journey.

In May 2022, we just sent our love with the contribution to a playground for Nguyen Hue Primary School in Tan Phu, Dong Nai, as well as financial support for 10 students until the age of 18 in Tam Ky, Quang Nam. We believe that it makes a meaningful remark and also be a beautiful memory for the children to create a better life in the future.

Groundbreaking Ceremony of MK Bridge

One of our sustainability commitments is to provide meaningful solutions to the community around us. This time, we fulfilled a long-held dream by constructing a bridge connecting the two sides of the river at An Hoa commune, Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province. This meaningful act has brought joy and hope to the people of Tam Nong and Hong Ngu communes, both now and in the future. Furthermore, the children have smiles on their faces because they don’t have the fear of risking their life in the boats.
